Jorge Gomes Miranda nasceu em 1965, no Porto. Ex-crítico literário do jornal Público. É autor dos seguintes livros de poesia: O Que Nos Protege (Pedra Formosa, 1995); Portadas Abertas (Presença, 1999); Curtas-Metragens (Relógio D’Água, 2002); A Hora Perdida (Campo das Letras, 2003); Postos de Escuta (Presença, 2003); Este Mundo, Sem Abrigo (Relógio D’Água, 2003); O Caçador de Tempestades (& etc, 2004); Pontos Luminosos (Averno, 2004); Requiem (Assírio & Alvim, 2005); Falésias (Teatro de Vila Real, 2006); O Acidente (Assírio & Alvim, 2007); Velhos (Teatro de Vila Real, 2008); Resgate (Fundação Serralves, 2008); El Accidente (Quálea Editorial, 2009); Nova Identidade (Tinta da China, 2021); La Herencia (Libros del Aire, 2022); A Última Pedra (Assírio & Alvim, 2022); Emoção Artificial (Gradiva, 2023) Prémio Melhor Livro de Poesia do Ano para a SPA; Ferida Secreta (Assírio e Alvim, 2025). A convite da Porto 2001 Capital Europeia da Cultura organizou antologias literárias e escreveu um romance O Transplante (Porto 2001, 2002).
