Jon Meacham é escritor, historiador e biógrafo presidencial americano. Antigo editor executivo e vice-presidente executivo da Random House, é colaborador habitual do New York Times Book Review, editor colaborador da revista Time e ex-editor-chefe da Newsweek.
Ganhou o Prémio Pulitzer de Biografia em 2009, com American Lion: Andrew Jackson in the White House. Autor de uma extensa bibliografia, a obra As Últimas Palavras de Jesus é um dos seus maiores bestsellers a nível internacional.
