Jokha Alharthi

Jokha Alharthi nasceu em Omã, em julho de 1978. Estudou em Omã e no Reino Unido. É autora de quatro romances, várias antologias de contos e dois livros para crianças. Fez o doutoramento em Poesia Árabe Clássica, em Edimburgo, e é professora na Sultan Qaboos University, em Mascate. O seu romance Laranjeira-Amarga (2016) venceu o Sultan Qaboos Award for Culture, Arts and Literature. A sua obra tem sido publicada em inglês, alemão, italiano, coreano e sérvio. Antes de vencer o Man Booker International Prize de 2019, Corpos Celestes foi escolhido para a shortlist do Sheikh Zayed Book Award for Young Authors.
