John Buchan
John Buchan (1875–1940), 1st Baron Tweedsmuir, was a Scottish writer and politician. He became known thanks to the book The 39 Steps, published in 1915 and adapted to the cinema by Alfred Hitchcock, the master of suspense two decades later.
