John Banville
John Banville was born in Wexford, Ireland, in 1945. His already extensive and award-winning body of work includes notable works... Doctor Copernicus (James Tait Black Memorial Prize of 1976) Kepler (Winner of the Guardian Fiction Prize in 1981) Ghosts, The Untouchable, The Book of Confessions (finalist for the 1989 Booker Prize) and The Sea (Winner of the Man Booker Prize). In 2014, he was awarded the Prince of Asturias Award for Literature.
