Joaquim Sá Couto nasceu no Porto, em 1951, onde vive. É médico, gestor e autor. Este é o seu primeiro trabalho de ficção.
Neste conto, redigido no estilo de um "screenplay", o autor procura confrontar a necessidade de darmos sentido à vida com os limites das convenções sociais.
