João Rios, nasceu depois do almoço, numa tarde tórrida de agosto de 1964. Segundo insuspeitos candidatos a biógrafos não ocorreu terramoto ou estádio delírio por causa de tal facto. Menino dos fósforos, nunca foi detido por posse excessiva de palavras, nem desvio de metáforas. Poeta com cinco livros editados e outros tantos mares navegados, espera escrever um dia um poema num deserto norte-africano.
