João Reis
João Reis (Vila Nova de Gaia, 1985) is the author of several novels: The Translator's Bride (2015|2019); Grandma and the Russian Snow (2017), finalist for the Fernando Namora Award; The Devastation of Silence (2018), semifinalist for the 2019 Oceanos Prize; When I Served Gil Vicente (2019), also a finalist for the Fernando Namora Prize; and Whether with Petals or Bones (2021). His novel Bedraggling Grandma with Russian Snow He is nominated for the 2022 Dublin Literary Award.
His books have been published in the USA, Brazil, Serbia, and Georgia.
In 2015, she was a finalist for the Bare Fiction Prize in the "flash fiction" category, and in 2018, she was awarded one of the DGLAB's literary creation grants. With a degree in Philosophy, she founded Eucleia Editora (where she was editor for two years), lived and worked in Scandinavia, and translates works from Scandinavian languages into Portuguese.
