João Rebocho Pais nasceu em Lisboa em 1962. Cresceu no bairro de Olivais Sul, terra fértil em personalidades de vulto, de filantropos a vigaristas, de homens de ciência e cultura a comerciantes de mercadorias ilícitas. Entrou para a aviação comercial em 1985, trabalhando há mais de vinte cinco anos como comissário de bordo, o que lhe tem permitido conhecer culturas muito disintas e inspiradoras. Tem dois filhos, Miguel e Francisco, sem os quais nada entende. Nunca imaginou escrever uma história para tanta gente. Até agora, os livros tinham sido apenas uma doce e viciante dependência. O Intrínseco de Manolo é a sua estreia no romance.
