João Magalhães é designer, praticante de Reiki, presidente da Associação Portuguesa de Reiki (que fundou em 2008) e gestor e administrador da Ser – Cooperativa de Solidariedade Social.
Foi aluno do International Dialogue Centre (KAICIID), e o primeiro português a realizar o programa de diálogo inter-religioso e intercultural. É também supervisor da Buddha’s Light International Association.
Publicou catorze livros na Nascente, entre os quais se destacam A Arte da Paz (2024), Reiki Usui (2022) e O Grande Livro dos Chakras e da Anatomia Energética (2018).
