João Francisco Gomes (Leiria, 1995) é jornalista e escreve no Observador desde 2016, maioritariamente sobre as religiões, a espiritualidade, o ambiente e as alterações climáticas. Recebeu, em 2017, o Prémio de Jornalismo Dom Manuel Falcão, que distingue trabalhos jornalísticos de temática religiosa. Foi um dos autores de uma série de reportagens de investigação sobre os abusos sexuais na Igreja Católica em Portugal, publicada em 2019 e distinguida com vários prémios de jornalismo, incluindo o Prémio Gazeta de Multimédia. É licenciado em Jornalismo pela Escola Superior de Comunicação Social e mestre em Ciência Política e Relações Internacionais pela Faculdade de Ciências Sociais e Humanas da Universidade Nova de Lisboa.
