Arquiteto pela FAUL (1997) e Mestre em Reabilitação da Arquitetura e Núcleos Urbanos pela mesma faculdade (2003). É Doutor em História da Arquitetura na FAUL (2014). É conferencista e autor de diversos artigos na área da arquitetura religiosa. Tem organizado, desde 2010, encontros e exposições de arquitetura e de arquitetura religiosa. É membro da equipa de arquitetura do Secretariado Nacional da Pastoral da Cultura e investigador do Centro de Estudos de História Religiosa e do Centro de Estudos de Religiões e Culturas, da Universidade Católica Portuguesa.
