Joana Steglich Canas da Silva, nasceu em 1978, em Lisboa. Manteve a paixão pelos animais a par com a arte, toda a vida, ingressando em Eng. de Produção Animal. A vontade de transpor de alguma forma a sua criatividade foi maior, tendo mudado depois para Design de Comunicação. Aos 44 decidiu dar definitivamente asas ao gosto pela leitura e pela escrita, na forma de um conto infantil.
