É licenciada em Terapia da Fala pela Escola Superior de Saúde de Alcoitão, pós-graduada em Terapia Miofuncional pela Universidade de Vic em Madrid, e tem formação de Terapeuta Familiar pela Sociedade Portuguesa de Terapia Familiar. Trabalha no Departamento de Pediatria Médica do Hospital de Santa Maria, na Unidade de Neurodesenvolvimento e na UCIN. Tem certificação em Orton-Gillingham, NY. É autora dos livros O Gato Comeu-te a Língua? (2.ª edição) e A Linguagem Mágica dos Bebés, da Esfera dos Livros, e À Descoberta dos Sons (2.ª edição), da Booksmile.
