Joan Turu nasceu em 1984 e é um ilustrador profissional dedicado à literatura infantojuvenil. Além de ilustrar histórias para os mais novos, trabalha também com escolas. Com uma caixa de lápis aprendeu que, mesmo não conseguindo mudar o mundo, podia criar no papel, nem que fosse por alguns momentos, um mundo onde palavras como respeito, solidariedade, empatia, paz e, acima de tudo, amor, fossem vividas no dia a dia. Depois de estudar ilustração na Escola de Arte Manresa e abrir os olhos pela segunda vez, entendeu que, como o desenho, se mudarmos a nossa perspetiva do ponto de vista do mundo, podemos realmente mudar o mundo!
