Jin Yong

Jin Yong (pseudonym of Louis Cha) is a literary phenomenon in China.
His series of novels wuxia (fantasy and martial arts) is considered a classic of modern literature.
It has also served as inspiration for numerous television series and video games.
It is estimated that his books have sold over three hundred million copies worldwide.
His success in his home country was followed by international recognition, which earned him appointments as an Officer of the Order of the British Empire and a Knight of the Legion of Honour, among others. The author passed away on October 30, 2018.
