Jens Peter Jacobsen

Jens Peter Jacobsen (1847–1885) notabilizou-se como estudioso das ciências naturais, poeta e romancista. Influenciado pelo Naturalismo e ateu convicto, espelhou na sua obra o choque entre religião e ciência, convenções sociais e inconformismo. Legou-nos na sua breve vida uma obra tão escassa como aclamada: um volume de contos, outro de poemas e os romances Marie Grubbe (1876) e Niels Lyhne (1880).
