Jeff Lazarus tem um bacharelato em Comunicação da Voz, direcionado para a comunicação interpessoal e organizacional, da Universidade do Estado da Califórnia, em Long Beach, e um MBA da Universidade Pepperdine. Lecionou técnicas para falar em público na universidade e deu vários workshops de saber ouvir. Consultor de Ciências da Saúde, sendo coach científico de médicos, académicos e educadores nesta área. Ganhou cinco vezes o Vice President's Award, o que lhe atribuiu o estatuto de «Hall of Fame». O seu amor por cães está patente no seu livro Dogtology (Nº1 de bestsellers Amazon, na categoria Cães), uma abordagem extravagante da devoção fanática da humanidade pelos cães. Jeff cresceu a representar no teatro, é um ávido fã de música e toca guitarra. Como grande entusiasta de desportos treinou equipas juvenis campeãs mundiais de beisebol e de futebol americano.
