Escritor norte-americano, Jeff Abbott é licenciado em História e Inglês pela Universidade de Rice e trabalhou como diretor criativo de uma agência de publicidade antes de se dedicar à escrita. Autor de vários livros de suspense e mistério, esteve nomeado três vezes para o Edgar Allan Poe Award e duas vezes para o Anthony Award. Em 2012 venceu o International Thriller Writers Award. Atualmente vive em Austin com a mulher e os dois filhos.
No catálogo da Porto Editora figuram os seus romances Queda, Beijo Fatal, A Primeira Regra, Culpa e Não me Perguntes.
