Jeferson Tenório nasceu no Rio de Janeiro, em 1977. Radicado em Porto Alegre, é doutorando em Teoria Literária pela Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio Grande do Sul. Estreou-se na literatura com O beijo na parede (2013), eleito Livro do Ano pela Associação Gaúcha de Escritores. Seguiu-se Estela sem Deus (2018; Companhia das Letras, 2024), romance que lhe trouxe o reconhecimento da crítica e dos leitores. O seu terceiro romance, O avesso da pele (Companhia das Letras, 2021), foi distinguido com o Prémio Jabuti para Melhor Romance, finalista dos prémios Oceanos e São Paulo de Literatura, e está a ser adaptado ao cinema.
