Jean-David Zeitoun é médico especialista em hepatogastroenterologia. Doutorado em Epidemiologia Clínica pela Universidade de Paris Cité, tem também um MBA em Políticas de Saúde Pública.
A par do seu trabalho na pesquisa de novos fármacos e terapêuticas e na segurança e qualidade dos cuidados de saúde prestados, Jean-David Zeitoun é também investigador na área da economia da saúde. Autor de mais de uma centena de artigos científicos, escreveu em 2021 La Grande Extension ¿ Histoire de La Santé Humaine, já publicado em várias línguas, e, em 2023, O Suicídio da Espécie. Colabora regularmente com meios de referência, como o Le Monde ou Les Echos.
