Janet Ahlberg
Janet Hall (Yorkshire, England, 1944 - 1994) and Allan Ahlberg met on a teacher training course and married in 1969. Together they created more than 40 children's books, written by him and illustrated by her, who twice received the Kate Greenaway Medal. Since the publication of their first works in 1976, they became successful authors, with millions of copies sold. After Janet's death, Allan continued working, currently with more than 150 published works, some of them illustrated by his daughter, Jessica Ahlberg.
