James Le Fanu

James Le Fanu é médico e escritor. Licenciou-se na Universidade de Cambridge e no Royal London Hospital em 1974 e tem vindo a publicar artigos de investigação no British Medical Journal, na Lancet e no Journal of the Royal Society of Medicine. Desde 1992 que escreve uma coluna semanal para o Sunday Telegraph e o Daily Telegraph, e colabora em vários jornais e revistas, incluindo o Spectator, o New Statesman, a New Scientist e a GQ. Escreveu, entre outros, Eat Your Heart Out: The Fallacy of the Healthy Diet (Macmillan, 1986) e The Rise and Fall of Modern Medicine (Little, Brown 1999), que ganhou o Prémio Literário Los Angeles Times. Vive com a mulher, a editora Juliet Annan, e os filhos no Sul de Londres.
