Jacques Lamontagne

Jacques Lamontagne (1961 - ) é natural de Quebeque, no Canadá. Começa por desenhar nos cadernos escolares. Em vez de puni-lo, as freiras responsáveis pela sua educação pedem-lhe que represente cenas religiosas no quadro! Colabora em agências de publicidade, onde chega a diretor artístico, mas escolhe desistir para se tornar ilustrador freelance, trabalhando na América do Norte e Europa. É uma oportunidade para experimentar vários estilos gráficos. No final dos anos 90, trabalha em "Bertrand le rêveur", "Les Contes d'Outre-Tombe". O sucesso da sua primeira série é imediato, "Les Druides", (Soleil). "Yuna", "Aspic, détectives de l'étrange". "Van Helsing contre Jack l'Éventreur" irá valer-lhe o prémio Albéric Bourgeois. Publica depois três álbuns de "Shelton & Felter". Em 2020, inicia "Wild West" (Dupuis), com argumento de Thierry Gloris, emprestando o seu traço poderoso a uma certa Martha Jane Canary, que ficará para a história como Calamity Jane. Esta série segue as vidas cruzadas.
