Jack Higgins
Jack Higgins lived in Belfast until he was 12 years old. After leaving school at 15, he belonged to the [unclear - possibly a specific organization or group] for three years. Royal Horse GuardsHaving served on the East German border during the Cold War, his subsequent jobs included occupations as diverse as working in a circus, being a truck driver, an administrator, and, after obtaining a bachelor's degree in Sociology and Social Psychology, a high school and university teacher. He is an internationally bestselling author, and his books have sold over 250 million copies and have been translated into 60 languages. Ten of his works have been successfully adapted for film. In Portugal, several books have already been published. The King in Lisbon and The Eagle Has LandedIn 1995, Jack Higgins was awarded an honorary doctorate from Leeds Metropolitan University.
