Jack Goody

Sir Jack Goody (1919–2015) was a British social scientist and anthropologist. A professor at the University of Cambridge, he was elected a member of the British Academy in 1919 and a member of the National Academy of Sciences of the United States. In 2005 he was knighted by the British Empire. One of the most renowned intellectuals of the 20th century, he was a critic of the Eurocentric view of history.
