J. Paulo Davim

J. Paulo Davim is a full professor at the University of Aveiro. He obtained his doctorate (1997), master's degree (1991), and undergraduate degree (1986) in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Porto (FEUP). He also obtained his habilitation (2005) from the University of Coimbra and... doctor of science (2013) by London Metropolitan UniversityIt is Fellow (FIET) by IET London, Eur Ing by FEANI Brussels, as well as a specialist engineer with an MBA and specialist titles in Industrial Management and Metrology from the Order of Engineers. Has over 35 years of experience in teaching and research in Mechanical and Industrial Engineering. Has supervised a large number of post-doctoral, doctoral and master's theses, as well as coordinated and participated in several funded research projects. Has received numerous awards and distinctions. Worked as a project evaluator for the ERC –European Research Council and other international research agencies, as well as a doctoral examiner for many universities in different countries. He is the editor-in-chief of several international journals indexed in Web of Science and Scopus, book editor and acts as editor-in-chief of series for internationally renowned publishing houses, Springer, Elsevier, Wiley, Taylor & Francis, etc. Currently, he is the editor-in-chief of the book series. Industrial Management and Engineering in Springer.
