Isabel Matos nascida em Lisboa, em 1964, Licenciada em Matemática, na Faculdade de Ciências da Universidade de Lisboa, e Doutora em Matemática na mesma Faculdade, na especialidade de Álgebra, Lógica e Fundamentos.
Lecionou durante 11 anos na Faculdade de Ciências da Universidade de Lisboa, foi professora na Escola Naval e integra atualmente os quadros docentes do Instituto Superior de Engenharia de Lisboa. É autora de diversos artigos e trabalhos no domínio da Álgebra.
