Inês Torres
Inês Torres holds a PhD in Egyptology from Harvard University and is an Integrated Researcher at CHAM – Centre for Humanities at the Nova University of Lisbon. She graduated in Archaeology from the Faculty of Arts of the University of Lisbon and holds a Master's degree in Egyptology from the University of Oxford. She is also the founder and coordinator of the project to disseminate Ancient Egypt on Instagram @umaegiptologaportuguesa, which aims to combat misinformation about Egyptology and Ancient Egypt by transmitting reliable information in Portuguese. Her research focuses on the analysis of the Egyptian tomb as a social space, where the living interacted with each other and with the dead, seeking to understand how the tomb space itself influenced the narratives of memorialization of the deceased and the perpetuation of their memory.
