Inês Fonseca Santos nasceu em Lisboa em 1979. Licenciou-se em Direito, inscreveu-se num Mestrado em Literatura Portuguesa Moderna e Contemporânea com uma tese sobre a poesia de Manuel António Pina (O encontro do escritor com o seu silêncio). Foi jornalista na SIC Notícias (Sociedade das Belas Artes, Laboratório) e escreveu textos sobre poesia para algumas revistas literárias (Textos e Pretextos, Relâmpago). Quando começou a escrever este livro foi convidada para se tornar associada da empresa. Aceitou.
