Inês Botelho nasceu em Vila Nova de Gaia, em agosto de 1986. Licenciada em Biologia pela Faculdade de Ciências da Universidade do Porto, iniciou em 2009 um Mestrado em Estudos Anglo-Americanos. Tem também o 8.º grau de Piano e Formação Musical.
É autora da trilogia de fantástico O Ceptro de Aerzis, composta por A Filha dos Mundos (2003), A Senhora da Noite e das Brumas (2004) e A Rainha das Terras da Luz (2005). Publicou ainda o romance Prelúdio (2007).
