Henry Mintzberg fez o PhD da Sloan School do MIT em 1968. É professor na Faculty of Management, da McGill University, em Montreal, Canadá. Até ao momento, integrou nove vezes a lista «Top 20 Business Thinkers», do Wall Street Journal, e dezasseis vezes a lista «The Thinkers 50», do Financial Times. Os seus livros abordam sobretudo os temas do trabalho empresarial, decisão estratégica e formas de organização.
