Helena Ventura é Licenciada em Filologia Germânica e em Ciências Pedagógicas, pós-graduada em Psychology in Language Teaching e com o curso de formação de Leitores de Português Língua Estrangeira pelo ex-ICALP – Instituto de Cultura e Língua Portuguesa (atual Camões – Instituto da Cooperação e da Língua). Tem uma longa experiência no ensino de Português Língua Estrangeira na Faculdade de Letras da Universidade de Lisboa, tendo sido também colaboradora do Ciberdúvidas da Língua Portuguesa. É coautora do livro Guia Prático de Verbos com Preposições e Português Outra Vez.
