Helena Pielichaty

Helena Pielichaty (pronuncia-se Pierre-li-hati) publicou vários livros para crianças, incluindo Simone’s Letters, nomeado para a Carnegie Medal. O futebol tem sido um tema frequente na escrita desta autora, começando com There’s Only One Danny Ogle (OUP 2000), sobre um rapaz que por acaso apoia o clube preferido de Helena, o Huddersfield Town. Helena também é fã do jogo feminino, influenciada sem dúvida pelo facto de a sua tia Pat ter jogado no Yorkshire Copperworks na década de 1950. A sua filha também jogou em várias equipas a partir dos dez anos. O Griffins U11s, uma equipa local de raparigas, inspirou muitas das histórias do MiúdasFC.
