Heitor Morais da Silva, sj nasceu em Casas de Monforte (Chaves), a 30 de abril de 1923. Entrou aos 18 anos no Noviciado da Companhia de Jesus, na qual cursou Humanidades, Filosofia e Teologia, tendo-se ordenado sacerdote em 1957.
Foi diretor da revista "Magnificat" desde 1959. Publicou diversas obras.
Faleceu a 14 de setembro de 2016.
