A Dra. Heather Miller é Professora Assistente de Bioquímica no Departamento de Química da High Point University (High Point, NC). Formou-se na Universidade Clarion da Pensilvânia (Clarion, PA) com um B.S. em Biologia Molecular / Biotecnologia, e da Duke University (Durham, NC) com um Ph.D. em Genética Molecular e Microbiologia. Completou um pós-doutorado no Programa de Biotecnologia na North Carolina State University (Raleigh, NC). A sua área de especialização científica é a biologia do RNA. A sua pesquisa enfoca a expressão génica do HIV-1 e o acoplamento de transcrição e splicing em humanos. Lecionou na faculdade nove anos.
