Gwenda Bond é autora de diversas ficções para crianças e jovens adultos. Entre elas, a série sobre a icónica personagem de banda desenhada Lois Lane e a trilogia Cirque American. Em conjunto com o marido, Christopher Rowe, escreveu a série infantil The Supernormal Sleuthing Service. Gwenda Bond é ainda autora de artigos de não-ficção em jornais e revistas, como Los Angeles Times, Publishers Weekly e Locus, entre outros. Frequentou um bacharelato em escrita criativa na Faculdade de Belas-Artes do Vermont e diz-se que como consequência pela admiração que de juventude, pela namorada do Super-Homem, Lois Lane, licenciou-se em Jornalismo.
