Giovanni Papini, 1881-1956, italiano. Em 1899 forma-se como Professor, leccionando durante vários anos até se tornar bibliotecário. Em 1903, funda com Giuseppe Prezzolini a revista Leonardo e redige textos para a Il Regno. Nesse mesmo ano, publica Il Crepúsculo dei Filosofi, onde discorre sobre sistemas filosóficos de seis grandes pensadores. Em 1911, funda a revista L’Anima, obtendo em 1935 a cátedra em Literatura Italiana, pela Universidade de Bolonha.
