PRÉMIO NOBEL DA FÍSICA 2021

Giorgio Parisi formou-se na Universidade de La Sapienza de Roma em 1970 e começou a trabalhar como investigador nos Laboratori Nazionali em Frascati. Foi professor de Física Teórica na Universidade Tor Vergata de Roma e mais tarde lecionou Teoria Quântica na Universidade de La Sapienza. É membro da Academia Nacional dos Linces, a academia científica mais antiga do mundo (da qual é vice-presidente), da American National Academy of Sciences, da Academia Francesa das Ciências, e da Sociedade Filosófica Americana. Recebeu o Prémio Nobel de Física de 2021 «pela descoberta da interação da desordem e das flutuações nos sistemas físicos de escalas atómicas a planetárias».
