Giles Milton nasceu no Reino Unido, em 1966. Estudou na Latymer Upper School e na Universidade de Bristol. É autor bestseller de mais de uma dezena de obras de ficção e não ficção, onde se incluem A Guerra Suja de Churchill (2018), Xeque-mate em Berlim (2023) e Dia D (2024), todos publicados pela Vogais.
Os seus livros assentam essencialmente em testemunhos pessoais, diários e cartas. É assim que nos conta as histórias de momentos-chave da história do mundo, sempre pela perspetiva daqueles que os vivenciaram.
Vive em Londres com a sua mulher, a ilustradora Alexandra Milton, e as suas três filhas.
