Giacomo Leopardi
Italian writer born in 1798 and died in 1837. He is considered one of the masters of literature in his country. Its theme ranged from the dreams of heroism in the poem All'Italia (1818) to the expression of pain and anguish in Canto Notturno (1831) and La Ginestra (1836). His lyrical poems, published between 1824 and 1835, are collected under the title Canti.
