Géraldine Correia
Géraldine Correia, 43, is the daughter of a French mother and a Franco-Angolan father. She has written two novels. There Isn't Always Caviar (Editorial News, 2003) and The Hut at the End of the Beach (Casa das Letras, 2006). The discovery of master plants introduced a turning point in her writing and debuted with Ayahuasca - The Path of the Soul (Pergaminho, 2008). Her reports on the Amazon are the result of personal experiences, interviews, and exhaustive research, collecting testimonies from all over the world. She spent the last two years in Angola, complementing the Amazonian shamanic approach with ancestral African tradition. She lives with her five children in Carcavelos, is a fan of surfing, yoga, and meditation, and also organizes trips to Peru and retreats.
