George Kararach

George Kararach, doutorado em Economia pela Universidade de Leeds, é economista chefe do Grupo do Banco Africano de Desenvolvimento; professor não residente do Payne Institute, e, até recentemente, economista sénior da Comissão Económica das Nações Unidas para África (UNECA). Tem um assinalável currículo em análise política, economia do desenvolvimento e planeamento estratégico, além de larga experiência em angariação de doadores das Nações Unidas e atividades operacionais de agências como a African Capacity Building Foundation e o Banco Africano de Desenvolvimento. Foi professor de Economia em várias universidades do Reino Unido. Entre os seus mais recentes livros, destacam se Rethinking Development Challenges for Public Policy: Insights from Contemporary Africa ou Development in Africa: Refocusing the Lens after the Millennium Development Goals.
