Gene Sharp
Gene Sharp was born on January 21, 1928. He was the founder of the Albert Einstein Institution, an NGO dedicated to promoting the study of nonviolent action, and a professor of political science at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth in the United States. He was nominated four times for the Nobel Peace Prize. He is known for his writings on nonviolent struggle and has influenced resistance movements around the world. He passed away on January 28, 2018, at the age of 90.
