Fritz Von Unruh

Fritz von Unruh (1885-1970), poeta, romancista e dramaturgo, foi um dos mais dotados escritores expressionistas alemães. Pôs fim à sua carreira no exército para se dedicar exclusivamente à escrita e é autor de uma obra que assenta na integridade e na responsabilidade do indivíduo perante a humanidade. Pacifista inabalável, foi um dos primeiros intelectuais a alertar para a ameaça do fascismo. Exilou-se em França e nos EUA, tendo sido privado da nacionalidade alemã em 1939 pelos nacionais-socialistas. Recebeu o prestigiado Prémio Goethe em 1948.
