Frank M. White

Frank M. White é Professor emérito de Engenharia Mecânica e Oceanográfica na University of Rhode Island (URI).
Estudou no Georgia Tech e no M.I.T. Em 1966, na URI, ajudou a fundar o primeiro departamento de engenharia oceanográfica dos Estados Unidos.
Recebeu oito prémios relacionados à docência e é autor de quatro livros sobre mecânica dos fluidos e transferência de calor.
De 1979 a 1990 foi editor-chefe do ASME Journal of Fluids Engineering e atuou de 1991 até 1997 como diretor do ASME Board of Editors e do Publications Committee.
É membro da ASME e, em 1991, recebeu o ASME Fluids Engineering Award.
Vive com sua esposa, Jeanne, em Narragansett, Rhode Island.
