Designer e empresário portuense, desde cedo se revelou um entusiasta e apaixonado pela arte da cozinha. Como designer, viu a sua carreira ganhar projeção em Amesterdão,cidade onde viveu dez anos. Influências, experiências e muito trabalho provocaramideias e projetos novos trazidos na bagagem de regresso a Portugal. Em 2013, criou a marca nacional de hambúrgueres gourmet desconstruídos Alta Burguesia, uma rede de hamburguerias em Portugal. Faltava um livro onde pudesse partilhar com o público a sua criatividade na cozinha.
