Francesco Esposito
Francesco Esposito is a member of CESEM and the Center for Studies in the History of Luso-Brazilian Music (Caravelas). After studying Piano and Music History in Naples, he lived in Portugal where he earned a doctorate in Historical Musical Sciences from the Universidade Nova de Lisboa and taught at various Portuguese institutions. Author of articles on 19th-century musical life, he collaborated with the latest editions of New Grove, MGG, and the Istituto della Enciclopedia Italiana, and won the 5th edition of the Liszt Prize with an essay on Franz Liszt's stay in Lisbon.
