Fran Ross

Fran Ross (1935-1985), leitora muito precoce (desde o berço), criatura com inclinações artísticas e atleta determinada, cresceu em Filadélfia, onde estudou teatro e jornalismo na Temple University. Foi repórter da Saturday Evening Post, trabalhou em várias editoras nova-iorquinas nos anos 60 e escreveu artigos para as revistas Essence e Titters. Fixou-se em Los Angeles, para escrever textos de comédia no controverso The Richard Pryor Show. Em 1974, no auge do Black Power Movement, publicou Oreo, o seu único livro, na expectativa de fazer carreira na escrita. Faleceu em 1985, sem terminar uma segunda obra.
