Filipe Faria nasceu em 1982, em Lisboa. Frequentou a Escola Alemã e, motivado por um forte interesse pela Idade Média e pela descoberta fortuita de um livro acerca daquela história sobre senhores e anéis, cultivou, desde cedo, a paixão pela literatura. Estreou-se na escrita com a série «Crónicas de Allaryia», que lhe granjeou, em 2001, o Prémio Branquinho da Fonseca e, em 2002, o Prémio Matilde Rosa Araújo, tendo trilhado desde então uma carreira com 15 livros passados nos mundos da fantasia e além.
